If you've never worked with an animator before, it can be overwhelming.
It can be like looking at a blank page and seeing so many possibilities that you stop seeing anything at all.
So let's break down a sampling of the exact kinds of videos I make and how they can be beneficial for you.
Explainer Videos: these are the OG animated video. You have a concept or a topic and you need to explain it visually. Short and sweet, we're not getting lost in the weeds.
Product Launch Videos: You have a product that you're getting ready to launch. It can be a physical product or a service you offer. Either way, you need to get the word out and get your potential customers excited.
Mission Videos: Your organization needs to reach more people so they can learn about and better understand your mission. You can use these on websites, linked through emails, at in-person events. Have a call to action? You can use these to help fund-raise.
Initiative Announcement Videos: Sort of the child of Product Launch and Mission videos. People know who your organization is, but you've got a new initiative that you're announcing. Another great option for fund-raising and raising awareness.
Fund-Raising Videos: You have a specific call to action here, you need to raise money. Show people what their support goes toward through visual storytelling. Follow someone who fundamentally benefits from the work you do to get more people to sign on with their dollars and support.
Podcast Trailers: Whether we like it or not, podcasting is no longer an audio only medium. A video trailer can generate interest by giving an audience a visual and a vibe to glom on to. Reach audiences outside of podcast platforms.
Podcast Intro Videos: If you're taking your podcast into the video realm, your intro sets the tone and helps to ground the audience in what they can expect. Catch that audience early on with something engaging and curious.
Supplemental Videos for Podcasts: Consider this the bonus features on the Blu Ray of your podcast. This is where you do major fan service by introducing characters in depth, going behind the scenes, teasing out origin stories or things that happened prior to the events of your series. This is great fodder for social media and can open the doors to fan art and reaching out beyond your existing audience.
YouTube Video Ads: Your standard video advertisement. Ad reach may not go as far on television since the advent of streaming, but YouTube continues to be a reliable venue.
Social Media Animated Series: Micro videos on TikTok, Instagram and even LinkedIn continue to be popular. Having a recurring character keeps audiences invested in what happens to them and where the narrative is going. Also great if you don't want to be a talking head on social media. You can use a character who does the talking for you and keep some distance on the internet.
Course Curriculum Content Videos: Consider this a series of explainer videos that build on each other to go deeper on any given subject. The possibilities are limitless here. I've done videos on practical applications of calculus, the importance of healthy waterways, yoga for pre-k kids, and more.
Educational Videos for Use in Schools: Similar to Course Curriculum videos but they don't live behind a tuition paywall.
Internal Company Videos: Videos for use within your company, and not for outside eyes. Great for introducing new company policies, hyping up teams, aligning on goals and milestones, and more.
Animated Logos: Do you have a logo from a brand package that you already invested in, but want to make it sing a little louder? We can take that design and add appropriate motion to it that fits your brand to grab extra attention.
